Hey all:
just a reminder there’s no Impact this week for the long weekend. Hope you all are able to enjoy some extra family time together
May 25th – We are heading to Winnipeg Harvest for our final service event of the year. Cornerstone Youth Group will be joining us as well! Parents/caregivers are welcome to attend as well. Meet at Harvest at 7:00 and we will be done at 8:30 (we’ll grab a quick drink at McDonald’s as well after).
June 1st – Last Bible study of the year :’(
June 8th – Crisis Pregnancy Centre will be coming to give us a presentation on healthy sexuality. Cornerstone will be joining us for this as well.
June 15th – GRAD PARTY! We have two grads this year: Willyn Whiting & Micheal Berryman. YAY!
June 22nd – Amazing Race windup party!
Hey all! This week we are at the church again, same time: 7-9 p.m.
I would like to continue the discussion this past Sunday’s sermon. I know that you teens have lots of good ideas on the subject of love in community, so let’s explore those! I was talking with a former youth group member on Sunday and they mentioned to me that one of the downsides of a smaller group was not having that sense of community with people his own age. Right now we are in a bit better place, as you all are pretty close in age, so let’s focus on this community aspect and figure some things out
Make sure you bring your Bibles, too! And, as always, bring a friend!!! The more often you bring a friend, the more often you’ll have someone close to your age in community
O.K. most youth know the number one rule of Impact!: NO STAR WARS TALK. However, seeing as how this Friday is May 4th perhaps I will make an exception? Perhaps a Star Wars themed Bible study? Hmmmmm…
Also, I am getting you the info tonight on this summer’s Under the Radar week at Siloam Mission. I’ll email the info and then post it up on the website as well!
See you Friday!
Hey everyone, back to Bible study this week, at the church, 7:00 – 9:00 just like always
I would write more but I’m on my way to take a book back to the library. A month overdue and I never even read it!
At the church again this week! 7-9 p.m. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one, but I can’t tell you why. It’s a secret!
Hello everyone,
no youth this week as we mark Good Friday. I hope you all are able to take some time to reflect on what this day means and the sacrifice that Jesus went through on our behalf.
Don’t forget, there is a Good Friday service at 10:00 a.m. and Trinity Baptist Church
See you Sunday.
Hey everyone, remember we are at Winnipeg Harvest (1085 Winnipeg Ave.) this week. Meet at Harvest for 7:00 p.m. We will be done by 8:30 and will most likely skip across the street for McDonald’s quickly – so pickup from there around 8:45 – 9:00 p.m.
Parents, remember that you are more than welcome to attend and help out as well.
Thanks
What up!?
We are back at the church this week in the basement from 7:00 – 9:00. Parents, if you are going to the Lenten Movie Night let me know, as the movie is a little over 2 hours. We’ll figure something out!
p.s. I really really enjoyed last week’s group: though not many came, it was a good night of talking and learning about prayer, and then, of course, actual prayer! Though hard for some to pray in public, and especially with peers, it was an exercise that definitely brought us closer together as a group! Praying is obviously important. However, I strongly believe that praying together is even more important. It is important because we are called to come together to worship God, to give thanks to Him, to bring darkness into light together, and to ask God for our needs. Parents, I want to encourage you to take time to pray with your teens. It may be hard at first, it may even be awkward, but it is a practice that is sure to bring you not only closer together as parent & child, but bring you all closer together in your walks with God!
Peace!
Cliff
Sorry for the late post everyone. I’m siiiiick.
We will have just a regular youth group at the church this week. I’ll have info about this summer, so try and attend if you can.
Parent’s, I am always at the church by 6:45, so if you are hoping to make it to Waldie’s for the Lenten Movie Series you can drop your teens off a little bit early if you need to.
See you tomorrow.
Hey all, just a regular youth group/Bible study this week, at the church from 7-9 p.m.
I want to thank you all for your help and hard work on Sunday! It had been a long time since we had a fund-raiser lunch (due to the kitchen reno) and Mary D. was an especially big help during the week leading up to Sunday. Also, a big special thank you to Micah & Ben who stayed in the kitchen and did all the dishes after the lunch (what’s up with that!?). Good job everyone.
Friday we will hopefully finalize plans for the summer – I hope all teens are able to attend.
See you Friday!
p.s. don’t forget your Bible!

What’s the impact that God has on us? What’s the impact that Jesus’ life and sacrifice has on us? What’s the impact that we can have on the world around us? Impact! youth group is designed around asking and answering these three questions. Because of Christ’s gift and love our lives have been impacted and we are called to impact the world around us! Impact isn’t just about games and hanging out. It’s about looking at the impact on our lives and the world around us. BUT we still do play games and hang out. We also go to concerts and serve throughout Winnipeg. Check below to see what’s up this week!
Fill in your info and get emails sent when new updates on Impact! are posted.

In 2011 we read through the Bible in chronological order. This year we're taking a more traditional approach reading straight through the Old Testament and the New Testament at the same time. Each day we'll read a few chapters from the OT as well as the NT. Some Sundays we'll have discussions on the readings during adult Sunday school.
Just click here for the day's readings!
