Gardening at Church!
Many people will notice a slight change to the landscape of WBC’s yard when they approach Willowlake Cres. & Stillwater Rd. In the works for some time now, this year we were finally able to add garden boxes to the church yard. A big thank you to Matt K., Matt N., and Terry for taking the time to build the boxes last weeekend, and to all those who came and helped fill the boxes with soil on Tuesday.
The boxes will be planted with potatoes shortly and the harvest will be donated to Winnipeg Harvest in the fall!
A Miracle in our Midst!
This past Sunday, Sharon, and Mayfield, shared how prayer and lives intersect. This is a powerful story that needs to be heard. Listen and share.

Doerksen Family in Mosaic
Virginia M. submitted an article to CBM’s Mosaic, on the Doerksen’s trip to Kenya last year. You can view the article on page 10 of the new issue, which is on the missions bulletin board in the foyer. You can also access the digital copy here.
Canadian Baptist Missions (CBM) is the missions arm of the CBWC, and other Canadian Baptist denominations. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our missions board in the foyer, and to pray for both CBM, and its many missionaries.
$3600.00!
Yup, three thousand and six hundred dollars: that’s how much money was raised for diabetes research thanks to your donations, and those of our neighbours in Southdale, to the CDA redbox in our parking lot. The CDA was very appreciative of your generosity, and we here at WBC continue to be amazed at how quickly the box fills up each week.
If you are interested in decluttering your closet or house a bit and helping out people with diabetes you can drop off the following items in the box:
• Gently used clothing
• All cloth based items
• Bedding
• Sleeping Bags
• Belts / Ties
• Yarn
• Blankets
• Drapes
• Pillows
• Footwear
• Small household items – Kitchenware, pots & pans, tools, blenders, etc.
• Small electronics – ink, toner and laser cartridges, cell phones, laptops, tablets, iPods, digital cameras, gaming consoles, and more.
• Larger electronics – Call us for more details at 1-800-505-5525
If donating small electronics, please ensure they are sealed in a separate plastic bag and note that electronic and small household items are not accepted at our Clothesline® drop boxes.
